i created a monster with this meme, i fear.

ok but FOR REAL i haven't touched this doc in SO LONG and i didn't realize how much the story has progressed and you know what? WOWOWOW i missed this one!

(for those who missed it, this is The Lumax that takes place in the same universe as Anyway, It's About Old Friends, where they breakup and still end up together bc this bunch has a habit of finding their way back to each other <3) here is a lil bit i just wrote from the 1992 (aka the wedding) chapter of The Lumax!!!

Max taps on her steering wheel aggressively as she waits outside Will’s apartment complex. Her leg tapping made the car shake. The stupid Lenny Kravitz song that has been playing everywhere lately.

She shuts the radio off all together, just as the gate to Will’s complex swings open. She hits the unlock button. His face is solemn, eyebrows scrunched, and looking downright disheveled. She can’t help but empathize with what he’s going through, just hiding it better than him. 

Trips to San Diego aren’t usually filled with much anticipation. Usually, they’re a break from reality. A break from her grandma’s tiny house. A break from her stupid uncle hogging all the hot water in the bathroom. From everyone being loud, taking up so much space. 

But this time, she’s in Santa Barbara. This time, she’s coming from her Grandma’s house where she was just a visitor. This time, she can’t shake the knot in the pit of her stomach about who she is about to be spending a weekend with. 

Will drops himself into the passenger seat. 

“Hey,” he says, low and mumbled. 

“Hey,” she says, furrowing her brows, looking at him confused. “You good?” 

“Fine,” he says, clearly annoyed with her asking. She rolls her eyes.

you can pry happy endings from my cold-dead hands. It can be the most heart stopping, gut wrenching fic that has every existed and I will read every drop of it if I get my happy ending. I have had enough painful endings in real life, give me happy in my fantasy world. It can be at the last second, it can be a single sentence, even a single word. Give me all the angst and hurt in the world for 500,000 words, but please give me the comfort I need in the ending. please and thank you.

THIS is why lucas is so good for max. because instead of blaming her for being upset, or treating her badly, he approaches his parents (a happily married couple) and asks honestly how to handle the situation. because he is so earnest and good and he wants to show max she can trust him. lucas is a goddamn king and we don't talk about it enough

do you ever stop and just think about how much max mayfield cares. she was in the most depressed and mentally unwell state of her life and she still took care of her neighbor’s dog. she still dropped what she was doing when she saw eddie was in trouble and it might be the upside down even though she very easily and justifiably could’ve been too out of energy to get out of bed. she was still doing all of the work to take care of her mother who was never not drunk. she still listened to lucas’ game, even though she couldn’t bring herself to attend, because despite what she wanted him to think, she cared. she’s just a good friend, i love you max mayfield

during the s4 era Noah said that he ships Byler because they're building it up, at a s5 panel he said that something went right for Will, he used to ship stancy but now he ships Jancy (because they're the endgame) and he still ships Byler (also endgame) and he said that his favorite moments with Finn are in st5 and in at the October panel he said that Mike is super protective of Will and we couldn't tell if Byler was something romantic or just a really special friendship, just remembered that Noah used to be a multishipper (Byler and mlvn) but in s4/s5 he only started shipping Byler because they started building it up more and he said he still ships Byler today,

The Kate Bush song still playing over her headphones isn't helping her get up off of the metaphorical ground she's laying on.  Living in the gap between past and future.  Ripping off her headphones, tossing the Walkman aside as she stands up, just as Lucas shuts the car off.  The look on her face doesn’t match the warm feeling as they take steps towards one another. Against her better judgement, she breaks the silence. “What are you doing here, Stalker.”
